A complete commercial cleaning program operates on three rhythms: daily, weekly, and monthly. Here's a reference checklist for what should be on each.
Daily
Empty trash and replace liners. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including restocking supplies. Wipe down high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, shared keyboards). Clean kitchen counters, sinks, and appliances. Vacuum high-traffic carpet areas. Spot-mop hard floors. Tidy lobbies and reception areas.
Weekly
Full vacuuming and mopping of all floors. Detailed dusting of surfaces, baseboards, and window sills. Polish glass partitions and interior windows. Disinfect conference room surfaces. Detail kitchen appliances inside and out. Clean entryway mats and walk-off areas.
Monthly
Deep carpet cleaning or extraction. Hard floor maintenance — buff, polish, or scheduled deep clean. Vent and HVAC return cleaning. Light fixture dusting. Detail blinds and window treatments. Inspect and address any quality issues identified during regular service.
Quarterly
Strip and wax hard floors. Hot water extraction of all carpeted areas. Deep restroom detailing including grout. Exterior window cleaning. Pressure washing of entryways and walkways.
